So I got a call about ten days or so ago about the drunken guy who hit my SUV. 7 months ago. The person on the other end of the phone was the district attorney and she said I was gonna' get a subpoena. And I did about a week ago and tomorrow I have to go to court.
When he hit me I was working on a porch addition and my vehicle was in front of the house I was working. I heard the guy come up over the curb and turned to see him smack into the back end. I got down off the ladder I was on and went over to the guy in his truck, connected to my SUV and said " What are you mad at me?" He said he was'nt. So I asked him for his insurance papers and he just shuffled around for 5 minutes in his glove compartment and, What do you know?, he could'nt find them. I asked him if he had any money he wanted to settle the matter with and he just bobbed his head around. So I ended up calling the cops. The guy ended up walking away. The police told me to stay there and wait for an officer to arrive. 5 hours later. No cops. I left. Came back the next day and the guys truck was still there. The cops came and I filed a report. They towed his truck. And 7 months later I have to go to court. Thanks drunkin' dumb idiot!
